3 Sea Sisters Exchange / Youth in Action 2012

Join one of the Three Sea Sisters for this adventurous journey from Harlingen (NL) to Southampton (UK) in 2012. Get on board either the Antwerp Flyer, the Maybe or the Tecla. The main stop-overs will be on Terschelling in the Netherlands, Zeebrugge in Belgium, Portsmouth in the United Kingdom and finishing your tour with a spectacular race on the Solent before disembarking in Southampton.On board the three sea sisers you will sail with young people from 3 different European countries: The Netherlands, Belgium and United Kingdom.

Together you’ll set sails and get a taste of life at sea. Besides the sailing you will join a special Intercultural program on board with International games, International cooking and European song festival. Meet people from other cultures, enjoy the differences and see the familiarities between the countries. You will make friends for the rest of your life.

At the end of a 12 day sail training track, you will find yourself on the Solent the strip of water seperating the Isle of Wight from the mainland of England. Here the three vessels will compeet in the ASTO Small Ships Race. A spectacular race of about 30 competing vessels of all shapes and sizes. By this time you will know the vessel you sail on and the crew you sail with very well and will be able to sail as a real racing team!

This trip is sponsored by the European organisations ‘Youth in Action’ . Therefore we can offer you a reduced price. This includes full board and excludes transportation from and to the ports and drinks at the bar. In addition, 70% of transportation is being paid for, so you only have to pay 30% of this amount.

Costs
The normal price for this voyage is €1190 but for people aged between 15-25 years there is a special price of €900. The price includes food and accommodation on the ship. Excluding transfers.

Always wanted to experience an international exchange?

We organize 7 exchange on board of Tall Ships this summer. Four exchanges will take place during the Tall Ships Races and three of them outside the Tall Ships Races. The nationalities will differ per ship.

The following exchanges are during the Tall Ships Races:
On the Bark Europa will be youngsters of Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands. The Lord Nelson will have British, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Dutch youngsters on board.

We also have an exchange during the Tall Ships Races on board of the Kaliakra. On board of this ship will be nationalities from all over the world.

We still have some places left on the Bark Europa for Italian, Belgian and Swedish youngsters. On the Lord Nelson we have some places for youngsters of France, United Kingdom and Spain. And as said before on the Kaliakra are places for all nationalities .
