IB - Creativity, Action, Service (CAS)
International Baccalaureate students must, besides following their regular classes, also participate in additional projects during their last year. One of the projects is the CAS – Creativity, Action, Service.
Equally divided the students must spend 150 hours on the three components.
Are you an IB student looking for a CAS activity? At Sea Sail Training can help out! As IB student you can join the Tall Ships at sea for the Action part of the project. Or we can help out organizing a mix of two components.
Alone or together with your class we can organize a project. An example of a project could be an International Exchange Program. An International Exchange is organized by the participants themselves and aims to unite as many nationalities as possible. On a ship with 36 trainee for example, this could mean a project with 6 English, 5 Dutch, 5 Danish, 5 German, 5 Norwegian, 5
Another idea whereby the service element of the program gets highlighted would be that the students organize a sailing trip for their own class, combined with handicapped youngsters or youngsters from a different social background. The students organize the sailing trip, try to get funding and look for youngsters with a different background to complete the team. On board you will sail the ship together and become a team.
Please do not hesitate to contact us when you are interested in a great adventure at sea and/or would like to join the Tall Ships' Races during your summer holiday with your friends?! Together with At Sea Sail Training you can make it happen!
