Go to bookings and prices Since her maiden voyage in 2007, TS Pelican has completed Transatlantic circuits and participated in International Tall Ships Races. And has a reputation for being very competitive, aided by the fact that her unique rig makes her lively and fun both on and off the wind. The Pelican of London has a rigging, not often seen in the sailing world, she is a Mainmast Barquentine (Xebec/Polacre). She proved to be perfectly balanced, sailing fast both to windward and downwind.The Pelican of London will join the Tall Ships Races 2012.

Accommodation
Pelican can accommodate 11 crew and 28 trainees. Voyage crew accommodation consists of seven comfortable and well proportioned four-berth cabins, most with en suite facilities. In addition there are separate showers and toilets.Meals are taken in the mess room next to the galley and a saloon is provided for fun and relaxation.

The ship was build by Chantiers et Ateliers AUGUSTIN NORMAND, Le Havre, 1948, as a double beam Arctic Trawler named PELICAN.1948 - 1967 Arctic fishing trawler 'PELICAN' Classification BV.
1968 - 1995 Coaster 'KADETT' Classification BV
1995 - 2007 Reconstruction as Sail Training Ship in survey with the MCA/BV
News
We organize 7 exchange on board of Tall Ships this summer. Four exchanges will take place during the Tall Ships Races and three of them outside the Tall Ships Races. The nationalities will differ per ship.
The following exchanges are during the Tall Ships Races:
On the Bark Europa will be youngsters of Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands. The Lord Nelson will have British, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Dutch youngsters on board.
We also have an exchange during the Tall Ships Races on board of the Kaliakra. On board of this ship will be nationalities from all over the world.
We still have some places left on the Bark Europa for Italian, Belgian and Swedish youngsters. On the Lord Nelson we have some places for youngsters of France, United Kingdom and Spain. And as said before on the Kaliakra are places for all nationalities .
